Snake River Stampede

We went to the Snake River Stampede in Nampa on Wednesday night (one of the top ten professional rodeos in the nation). Our kids earned tickets through their summer reading program at the library, so we made a family date night out of it. It was so much fun!! Our kids did great the entire time. We were there for four hours. We wore pink for "Stampede for the Cure" night.
At the beginning they have a junior rodeo (we're talking 5-8 year olds) who race out on their horse and have to flip a goat and tie his feet up. When they first placed the goat out in the middle of the arena it was bleating pretty pathetically, it even made me kind of sad for him. Andi was really concerned about him and kept saying, "I think he wants his mom and dad."

She forgot the goat soon enough when she saw all the rodeo princesses. They all sat in the same section as us and Andi kept looking back at them all night. Pretty soon about four of them made their way down and asked if she wanted an autograph. They pulled out their pictures and autographed them and took pictures with her. Look how happy it made her!As a side note, we did see the winning bull ride of the entire five day event our night. It was an outstanding ride! We just might have to sell Jefferson's business and go buy a farm and cattle. Jefferson would make one good looking cowboy.

I love rodeos! And if you end up owning a farm we will definately be there to visit! I love your new fam picture on the blog top...oh my goodness Tay all of a sudden is so Andi! And Bentley is sooo Carter. Definately all come from the same stock though...and a good one that is!

Haha, if you guys got into the rodeo business, we'd definitely come watch you guys ride! ;) What a fun activity... I've been wanting to go to the Pendelton Round up some year, I've NEVER seen a rodeo, so hopefully someday!
