Bye-bye Binky!

We decided that two was the age that the binky had to go bye-bye for Miss Moo. So, Saturday night was Andi's first night without it. She asked for it and we said, in a very positive voice, "You don't need a binky! You're a big girl!" And that was that. She played with Carter in their room for a little and went to sleep without a peep. Naptime was next on Sunday. She cried for less than ten minutes, and then just sat in there and talked and sang for about another fifteen minutes and then was out like a light. That has been the story ever since. She is amazing. Today, before naptime, Andi looked at me and said, "I binky?" And I said, "Do you need a binky?" To which she replied, "No! I'm a big girl!" It was pretty cute. The end.

Moomoo for my Moo compliments of Grandma Z. Isn't it too cute?!

My Moo is Two!!

My baby girl is two! We had such a fun day of celebrating. Jefferson was home with us that morning so we had a nice, hot, family breakfast of eggs (per Andi's request). She loved her homemade tutu that I gave her that morning before the rest of her presents:

That evening we went to Chuck E Cheese's with Ben, Sharon, Gray, Cal, and Grandma Z. We had a great time playing games:

Eating dinner:

Opening presents:

And eating cupcakes:

I think my little lady enjoyed her second birthday.

What a fun little girl my Andi has turned into. She is such a joy to have in our home. Some things I love about Andi Moo are:
-Finding her behind the couch, completely quiet and content just reading books by herself. (frequently)
-Twirling around in her tutu.
-How much she loves her purse and pearls and putting on as many bracelets as she can find.
-Dragging her stroller behind her with her dolls in it.
-Always wanting to have "monies" (you can usually find at least one penny in her pocket)
-Whenever we see water, be it a pool, river, lake, ocean, stream, or fountain she asks for "monies!" We have her trained from throwing pennies in fountains, I guess.
-She loves babies! If there is anyone who appears her age or younger she gets all gitty and starts yelling for the baby or trying to make her way to the baby.
-She is not shy at all and will walk up to anyone and strike up a conversation
-She is somewhat uncoordinated and we frequently joke that she needs to take ballet. :)
-She is a little singer, even though it's an octave lower than Carter. Her favorite songs are ABC's, Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam, The Cow gives us milk, and Peanut Butter.
-This girl feels the beat and dances whenever there is anything resembling music on.
-She is starting to fight back with Carter. It's good for Carter.
-She loves eggs and fruit. Sweets aren't her favorite. She likes them, but won't eat a lot of them.
-She is starting to talk really well and we can understand so much of what she's saying. Her little 2-4 word sentences are adorable.
-She runs like a girl in the cutest way possible.
-She still loves her Betty Ballerina (though the name has been abbreviated to Rina, as in ballerina) and Mooers.
-In the mornings she will stand up and throw her binki in the crib and say "We don't need a binki!"
-She has a yummy little booty with just a little bit of lovin' on her.
-She is a mama's girl, which just warms the cockles of my heart.
-She is super tough and bounces back from just about everything.
-She is a beautiful, happy little girl and we just love her sweet little feisty spirit.

Happy 2nd Birthday Miss Andi!

Grandma Z zoo day

We had such a great time at the zoo with Grandma Z on Tuesday. She was watching my nephews Gray and Cal last week so we met up for the morning and part of the afternoon.
Petting the goat is always a favorite of ours.

Grandma Z treated us to the train ride. The kids LOVED it!! It was about a 30 minute ride and they could have gone again.

Thanks Grandma Z for a fun day at the zoo (and for the elephant ears!)

True love.

How do I know?

Because Jefferson went to Wal-Mart with me yesterday, his least favorite place in the whole wide world, perhaps second only to Winco.

Because Jefferson went dumpster diving for my apartment keys yesterday. (The kids were playing in the car while we unloaded groceries and both had a set of keys. When we were done unloading groceries I did a quick pick up of the car and unloaded our car trash bag. Yup, Andi had placed the house keys in there.)

Because Jefferson brought me home Thai food for dinner so that I didn't have to cook (and we even ate it after the kids went to bed. Uninterrupted dinner= so nice)

Because Jefferson braved the DMV for me so I didn't have to do it with two kids in tow.

Because Jefferson took the kids with him to the store so that I could have a few minutes all to myself to do whatever I wanted.

True love.

Done and done.

We made it through our graduation weekend. We had an amazing time celebrating with family. Check out the posts below.

Happy Father's Day!

Sunday was yet another day full. Jefferson was asked less than a week ago to speak in sacrament meeting and somehow, between finals, exit exams, clinic, and graduation, he managed to write a talk. He did a great job. After sacrament meeting the Corrigan family headed home. That left just our little family and Gramma Mitchy to enjoy a quiet afternoon. We just hung out at home and relaxed and played. We enjoyed a tri-tip dinner and playing with Jefferson's father's day gift; the Wii fit. It was fun.

I am so blessed to have such amazing fathers in my life. My dad is such an amazing example of hard work and dedication to family. He did and still does an amazing job of presiding over his home. I am so grateful that we have him to look up to. And of course, to my amazing husband and father of my children; I couldn't ask for a better man to be the head of our home. He has worked so hard to earn his DC so that he can support our family and so that I can remain a stay at home mom. I so appreciate his love and endless support of me and our children. Our kids are very lucky to have him; as am I. Happy Father's Day!!

Graduation Day!!

I am so proud of Jefferson! Graduation was so amazing. I can't believe we finally made it and that Jefferson is graduated. I am pretty sure I was teary-eyed from the time I walked in the ballroom where graduation was held til the time all the graduates walked out. It was held at the Oregon Convention Center. It was the perfect venue and the ceremony was great. One of my favorite parts was when all the graduates and other chiropractors in the audience stood to stay the chiropractic oath and there stood Jefferson with his dad just a few rows back, both saying the oath.
During the ceremony...
GramZee had all the kids enamored and quiet with her "grandma bag":

I didn't get any great pictures of Jefferson being hooded or getting his diploma because it was so dark in there. We did manage to get a few family photos afterwards though.

After the ceremony we headed to a park to have a little luncheon with everybody. It was delicious and fun for all the kiddies to play together.

After the luncheon we headed back to our place for some more playing and eating, of course.

There was some more Wii playing:

And now it's done... or just begun. Thank you everybody who made the trip here to support Jefferson and help us celebrate. And thank you to everyone who sent their congratulations! We wouldn't be here without all of you! Congratulations Jefferson!! You did it! We are so proud of you and so grateful for your years of hard work, long hours, and amazing balancing. We love you Dr. Harmon!

Friday Fun

Gramma Mitchy came in Thursday night so she was a big help for all the prep that took place on Friday. It started with a little bite to eat:

Then we went grocery shopping, met up with Jefferson at the open house at WSCC, and then came home. Jefferson's sisters Ali and Ashlee and Ashlee's husband and kids surprised Jefferson by driving down from Spokane to be here for his graduation. They made it in Friday afternoon. Jefferson was really surprised. It was so fun. All five of the kids are 4 and under and had a blast playing with each other. We went to Ashlee and Emmett's hotel for a swim:

All the kids decided to hop on Uncle Jeff so he could bounce them around the pool. Carter, Teage, Andi, Bostyn, Bailey:

Then we came back to our place for dinner, story time with Grammy Mitchy and Aunt Ali, teepee playing, and a little Wii.
