This kid can tie!

A few weeks ago (January 30th for journaling purposes) Carter ran upstairs and yelled, "Mom, I tied my shoe!" I thought for sure it was just a fluke, or that the shoe had just remained tied from the day before. But he came up and showed me his one shoe and then proceeded to tie the other shoe. It took a decent amount of time and there were quite a few loops and wrap arounds that weren't required, but still pretty impressive. I have never sat down and tried to teach him per se, I just explain what I'm doing when I tie them most the time.
He is now almost to pro status with the shoe tying. He is getting faster and they actually stay tied. If the laces are too short on a shoe, that poses a problem, but for the most part, he's a shoe tier! Way to go C-Mac!

What a fun milestone! Perhaps this calls for a shiny new pair of shoes? :)

That will come in handy once the baby arrives....try to teach him how to tie his sister's shoes and you'll be golden! Excited for you to have your new baby. Take care!
