Our Stake did an emphasis on what we can give this Christmas season. They asked everyone to choose what they wanted to give at Christmas, take a picture and tag it #ourgifttojesuskf. Then they put all those pictures in a slide show at the stake Christmas fireside. We chose to do 25 acts of service by December 25th. It was a really awesome experience for us as a family to find and look for ways to serve. We really tried to go out of our way to serve.
Some of our most memorable moments were:
*Helping a man in a wheelchair load his groceries into his car at the store. He then gave Taytum $2 for her assistance.
*Singing at the stake fireside with my dad and Alli
*Leaving notes and money on vending machines at the hospital and OIT
*Singing at the nursing home with the littles
*Making and sending Christmas cards to a dying girl in Utah named Addie
*Going Christmas light looking with Dutch Bro hot chocolates in hand and then handing out awards to our favorite houses
*Having the missionaries over for dinner
*Writing letters to Elder Perez who left from our branch on a mission
*Singing in both 5th ward and Spanish branch sacrament meeting programs
*Serving our siblings and parents around home
*Cleaning the church
*Visiting Gramzee in the hospital after her hip surgery and taking her goodies
*Took treats to Grandpa at work
*Elfed our friends (anonymously delivered treats to our friends)
