Feed the Birds

We had lovely weather in February and decided to capitalize on it and spend an afternoon feeding the ducks.

All Stars

They were pretty confident in themselves naming themselves the "All Stars". It was a fun basketball season. Jefferson and his friend Michael Armijo coached. They were perfect coaches! It was fun to watch Carter play as he improved so much from last season and started to understand the game more.
 Trying to be serious...

Nightmare in Dreamland

Andi participated in the school production called "Nightmare in Dreamland." It was for 3-5th graders, but Andi got a special invitation from our music teacher Mrs. Hay because Andi really loves music and is such a great, responsible student. She was so excited. She played the part of a swaying, singing tree, and boy was she the best tree out there! I helped with make-up backstage and had fun watching Andi participate in something that I enjoyed so much growing up. I hope she has more theater experiences in the future. The kids and Mrs Hay did such a great job with the show. The music and costumes were fantastic.
The trees:
Ben and his family came into town the day of the last afternoon performance, so I gook Grayson to get happy meals and surprise Carter at school. After lunch they came in to watch Andi's show.

Let us not weary in well doing

We just bought our first house! .... Ever. About time, right? We have worked hard and waited a long time for this. Everything fell right into place from the beginning and we couldn't feel more blessed. We've been in the house for almost three weeks and I still think I say almost hourly, "I love our house." It is the perfect fit for our family.
Recently there has been a lot on my plate. Within a few weeks of either side of our move I was asked to do an enrichment for the branch, chaperone a youth dance, attend a camp meeting (and was asked to be a YCL leader), attend a fireside, attend the youth missionary prep classes that started last week, teach in YW, speak in 5th ward, sing in the Spanish branch, and put on a class at our Relief Society conference. Then, you know, normal life stuff like soccer starting for my two older kids, mutual every Wednesday night, trying to unpack and paint, and, and, and....
While sitting at the fireside, or missionary prep class, I can't remember which, I just remembered, "Where much is given, much is required." Much has been given to us and we are blessed in so many things. So, I will be not weary in my good works and will happily go about serving where the Lord needs me.

Easter

Easter was so much fun! It was over conference weekend, so we met up with Sam & Nikki, Nic & Alli, and Mom & Dad in Suriver. The kids have so much fun playing with cousins. We had to dye Easter eggs of course.

Then, when the ladies were out on a bike ride, the menfolk, I mean Easter Bunny, hid candy filled eggs.

 Goody's had to happen.

Easter morning came and the kids all loved their Easter goodies.

I love it when he lays like this. He does it quite frequently. That's a big head to hold up!

We had conference on all weekend, and I love the spirit listening to it brings. It was so fun to see Sam and Nikki and crew and celebrate the resurrection of our Savior.
