Carter is just as busy as ever.
*He's really into make-believe. He likes to put on a backpack and pretend to go to school. He'll say, "I'll be right back, I'm going to take a test." Then he'll come back in the room and say, "I got an 'A'!"
*He loves to stand on the edge of the couch and jump onto the cushions. I am sure one of these times he's going to fall and break something.
*He chases "monsters" every day. He will tell us all to "shhhhhh" and then sneak into one of our rooms and say "Monster wake up!"
*He likes to help me cook and always drags a chair into the kitchen when I'm in there.
*He LOVES reading! We go to the library every week and get new books. He always gets attached to one of the books we check out. Last week it was "The Big Hungry Bear" and this week it's "No, David!" We will read and reread them literally about fifteen times a day.
*Carter still comes up and gives me random hugs and kisses. I will be so sad when he's too old for that.
*Carter gives amazing prayers.
*Carter likes to give himself props. When he does something "cool" like jump off the couch or hold the nozzle of the faucet and make water squirt everywhere, he'll say "That's amazing!"
*He can't walk past a puddle without splashing in it, and the proves problematic when we live in such a wet place- there are lots of puddles!
*He plays dress up practically every morning and changes outfits about five times. First it's his Lightning McQueen pajamas, then it's his soccer jersey and shorts, then his sweats, then his spider shirt...
*He still sucks his thumb.
*He knows who the prophet of the church is: "President Monson"
*When he sees something he likes in the store he'll say, "For Christmas?" And we'll assure him that yes, we'll put that on his wish list for Christmas.
Oh my little Andi:
*She loves her binki and will say "binki please" over and over again. We usually don't give in unless it's nap time.
*She still carries her purse everywhere with her, and usually has her pearls on and a set of keys in her hand. Inevitably she ends up at the door trying to get out because she's ready to go!
*She is starting to say a little more... kind of. It's not very clear at all, but she tries.
*She is very independent. We leave her in nursery pretty frequently (our friends are the nursery leaders) and she loves it and has never once cried for us. We also go to an open gym where there are tons of kids and she takes off the second we get in the door and never looks back or tries to find me.
*You cannot keep this girl from dancing! She will dance to anything that sounds like a melody, TV commercials, telephone rings, and music of course!
*She is going to be a hoarder. She will just stuff her hands full of stuff and carries it around with her from pjs to shoes to pillows to cars. It doesn't matter, she just wants her arm full of stuff.
*She is always trying to do what Carter does and it makes her really mad when she can't do the same things, like reach the water in the bathroom sink to wash her hands.
* She also LOVES to read. She will sit with books for a good thirty minutes just looking at them.
*She still loves to eat, is not picky, and finishes everything on her plate and Carter's plate.
*She is starting to run and it is so funny looking. It makes me laugh every time.
*On that same note, her favorite game is when we chase her.
*Her fifth tooth finally came in. Yes, she only has five teeth! Three on top, two on bottom, all in the front.
Here she is enjoying a cookie:
